This is a list of some local resources that provide services to individuals and families who are dealing with domestic violence.
Aboriginal Consulting Services (ACS)
ACS provides Aboriginal-specific support services including family and individual counselling and support in family violence situations. They offer courses and workshops on topics such as parenting, teen relationships, and family violence.

Men's Support Services offers counselling for individuals and group programs for men who want to heal from difficulties in their past and develop skills to cope with current problems.

Family Violence Services for Adults provides information and support groups for adults who have experienced abuse from a partner in an intimate relationship. Child care is provided at no cost.
Services include referrals to community resources for individuals who are concerned about their abusive behaviour toward family members or intimate partners.

Edmonton John Howard Society

Family Violence Prevention Centre offers information, referrals, crisis intervention, safety planning, and advocacy. Services are also available in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Forensic Adult Assessment and Treatment (FACS)
FACS provides assessment and treatment of mental disorders and behavioural problems for adults and adolescents who are in conflict with the law.

Men’s Alternative Temporary Housing and Supports (MATHS)
MATHS provides crisis intervention by providing temporary emergency housing to men who have had to leave the family home because they have been abusive in their intimate partner relationship. They may have left voluntarily or as a result of legal action.

The Pride Centre of Edmonton
The Pride Centre offers free professional counselling on every Wednesday of the month except the first Wednesday, from 7 – 10 pm. The Pride Centre supports individuals facing a number of issues, and specializes in serving gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual, intersex, and questioning (GLBTTIQ) populations. Appointments are encouraged, although drop-ins are welcome.

Support Network Walk-in Counselling Services
Qualified counsellors provide single session counselling on a walk-in basis for a sliding-scale fee. Availability includes mornings, afternoons and evenings. Because sessions are provided on a walk-in, first-come, first-serve basis, please call The Support Network to confirm hours and availability.

YWCA
The YWCA offers individual and family counselling as well as support groups for abused women. They also have groups for women wanting to learn how to control their anger and groups for children and youth exposed to family violence.
